The keyboard was primarily a massing model, based on the configuration of the first Macintosh keyboard. The mouse-based controls of moving and clicking were separated into a two-handed operation to achieve game console speed of use. The cursor was moved around the screen using a puck-style slider instead of a mouse requiring arm movement, or a trackball that requiring tedious rolling. Controls could be plugged in on either side.
